Procedure for obtaining Duplicate Registration Certificate:
 

Application & Documents required:

  1. Form No CMV 26 to be filled up and signed by registered owner .
  2. Form no 26 in duplicate if covered by Hypothecation/Hire Purchase/Lease Agreement along with NOC from financier.
  3. Affidavit sworn by the applicant before an executive magistrate or a first class judicial magistrate or a notary public for having lost the registration certificate. 
  4. In case of mutilated/soiled/torn registration certificate such certificate to be surrendered .
  5. Insurance Certificate.
  6. Emission Certificate .
  7. Fitness Certificate in case of transport vehicle. 
  8. Three passport size photographs of the owner.

Fees(to be paid at R.T.O. cash counter) :

  1. Rs 30/- for two wheelers
  2. Rs 100/- for Light Motor Vehicles (Non-transport)
  3. Rs. 150/- for Light Commercial Vehicles
  4. Rs. 200/- for Medium Goods/Passenger vehicles.
  5. Rs. 300/- for Heavy Goods/Passenger vehicles.
  6. Rs. 400/- for imported vehicles.
  7. Rs. 100/- for imported motor cycles.
  8. Rs. 150/- for other vehicles not mentioned above.

Procedure :

  • The Registered owner shall submit the application along with above documents at the Registration Section.

REFER SECTION 41(14) OF MOTOR VEHICLES ACT READ WITH RULE 53 OF CENTRAL MOTOR VEHICLES RULES, 1989.
