THE PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING FITNESS CERTIFICATE

FOR TRANSPORT VEHICLE / RENEWAL OF FITNESS CERTIFICATE.
 

  • All transport vehicles shall carry valid fitness certificate to ply on road.
  • Fitness Certificate for new vehicles will be granted for a period of two years at the time of registration.
  • The owner shall apply for renewal of fitness certificate in form KMV20 along with prescribed fee, Registration Certificate, Insurance Certificate, Tax Card, Pollution Under Control Certificate, Permit and to produce the vehicle for inspection in a good condition.
  • The Senior /Inspector of motor vehicle will inspect the vehicle as to the aspects mentioned in the form KMV 25.

After inspection, if the motor vehicle complies with the requirements of chapter VII of Motor Vehicles Act, the fitness certificate will renewed. The validity of renewed fitness certificate is one year.

FEES FOR GRANTOF FC / RENEWAL OF FC (to be paid at R.T.O. Cash Counter).:

  1. Two/Three wheeled vehicles – Rs. 200/-
  2. Light Motor Vehicles – Rs. 300/-
  3. Medium Motor Vehicles – Rs. 400/-
  4. Heavy Motor Vehicles – Rs. 500/-
