OBTAINING CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE IN THE EVENT OF SALE/REMOVAL OF VEHICLE WITHIN THE STATE.

(Required in case of vehicles which are migrating from one RTO jurisdiction to another RTO jurisdiction within the state).
Clearance Certificate is not required for two wheelers

If the owner desires to remove or sell his vehicle outside the jurisdiction of registering authority within the State, an application on plain paper along with name and address of the person to whom the vehicle has been sold shall be submitted to the jurisdictional RTO.

Along with the application the owner shall produce Registration Certificate, tax card if any, Insurance certificate, Emission Certificate, permit and fitness certificate (in case of transport vehicles).

In case of vehicles covered by Hypothecation/HPA/Lease agreement, no objection letter from the Financier shall be produced.

The registered owner should appear in person to submit the application.

On obtaining the remarks of different sections, if no dues are outstanding / DSA cases are not pending, clearance certificate will be issued.

Delivery of Documents:

In respect of non transport vehicles - Next day between 4-30pm and 5-30 pm

In respect of transport vehicles after 2 days between 4-30pm and 5-30 pm
